I had wanted a little lamb from as early as I can remember and in 2018 my husband surprised me with 2 Olde English Babydoll Southdown ewe lambs! I instantly fell in love and quickly decided I would like to raise and breed Babydoll’s and give others the opportunity to own this wonderful breed. The following year we purchased 2 rams and the rest is history. We have been breeding, birthing, and shearing our flock successfully for over four years now, and continue to learn every day. We are a small hobby farm located in Franklin, Indiana and along with our Babydoll’s, we also enjoy raising Irish Dexter cattle.
We currently have 9 Babydoll sheep in our flock: 6 ewes (4 white & 2 black), 2 Rams, and 1 wether. All our Babydoll sheep have registrations with both the Olde English Babydoll Southdown Sheep Registry – OEBSSR (the registry started by Robert Mock) and also with the North American Babydoll Southdown Association and Registry (NABSSAR). All our sheep are also registered with a third registry, Babydoll Southdown Sheep Breeders Association (BSSBA) but found it unnecessary to be registered with all 3 registries, so have decided to not renew our membership with BBSSBA moving forward.
